I grew up in Ballarat and attended Ballarat High School. I moved to Melbourne to study physiotherapy at LaTrobe University and then, lived and worked in Melbourne for another 8 years.
I worked in general physiotherapy for the first 8 years of my career, including both the public and private sector in acute hospitals, a large rehabilitation centre, a public continence clinic and a private practice in Melbourne.
For the past 14 years I have worked in a well-established and highly regarded physiotherapy private practice in Ballarat, which fortunately enough, gave me the amazing opportunity in the wonderful maternity ward at SJOG hospital.
Now I am taking the plunge with my good friend and work colleague Jennifer Kaess, to embark on our exciting new venture “Restore Allied Health”
I am very passionate about my work, and my own experiences and the patients and clients that I have met over the years, have lead me down this specialised and immensely rewarding career path. These include the birth of my own children, inspirational men, women and friends who have undergone cancer battles, and some very dedicated and knowledgeable colleagues and mentors.
Outside of work, I love to play tennis, (when I have time), I have a love hate relationship with spin class and the gym, and love watching my kids playing their various sports (except when it is minus something degrees and raining on a Sunday morning at Ballarat soccer!). I love to cook (again, when I have time) and on weekends treasure the time I get to spend with my family and friends.
